5/30 - Fast Times Relays - Monroe Woodbury H.S.
The "Warwick" fast times lives up to the hype yet again for the Vikings. The Varsity Boys 4x800 runs a seasonal best of 8:05.19 FAT to take 6th place overall. Sophs Matt Brodsky 2:00.4 and DJ Pisapia 2:02.5 set PR's on the "A" squad. The 4x800 "B" runs the 2nd fastest "B" team time in Sea history (8:17.94 - 2008) hitting 8:26.61 FAT. The "B" team was comprised completely of sophomore and they just miss breaking the soph record that was broke earlier this year despite the top two sophs being on the "A" team. Christian Garofano (2:04.7) and Johnny Walz (2:03.3) run nice PR's. FOUR sophs this year have run: 2:00.4, 2:02.5, 2:03.3 & 2:04.7 and they add to 8:10.9 which is our returning time next year.
The Girls 4x100 crushes the school record that was broke just 3 days earlier with a nice time of 49.62 FAT for third place medals. The time is the 5th fastest in STATEN ISLAND HISTORY. The Boys 4x100 runs a seasonal best of 46.15 FAT and they return all four men.
