2/17 - North Shore Pre-Nationals - Armory
The soph boy milers get the team fired up in the full mile led by Johnny Walz (4:51.52 - 19 sec PR) and Christian Garofano (4:53.49 - 22 sec PR's) recording massive PR's. Soph Santino Mariano drops a 16 sec PR with a time of 5:07.12. The Varsity Boys SMR runs 3:38.57 for a 6 second seasonal best time. Nick Runfola is the first Viking to split a sub 23 time in 4 years. The boys SMR is now NY #5 and US #20. The Varsity Girls SMR runs 4:18.85 for a big 7 second seasonal best. Vic Dziubela runs a big anchor leg with a 2:22.9 carry; a 3 second PR. The girls are now ranked NY #11 and US #28. Both SMR's have qualified for the championship sections of the National Championships. Junior Krissy Sarnicola drops a 2:26.3 anchor leg on the "B" team for an 11 second PR.
